We are developing infographics for all FAO Major Fishing Areas (MFA), to be piloted in the updated "Review of the state of the world marine fishing resources". The aim is to provide a more engaging visual format and present fisheries in a wider context. The prototype of the first page of a 3-page infographic appeared in SOFIA 2024 on page 162 (or the pdf page 192). Drafts for individual areas are available for your consideration below.
Also in development is a clickable map, so regions can be selected via the map view.
